Dear Customer,
2021 REVIEW
It’s been another busy year for the carrier industry with many challenges along the way. Brexit, the implementation of IOSS along with the effects of COVID, driver shortages and freight rates at an all-time high has encouraged us, and many of our carriers, to develop new and improved process’ to help with the unprecedented pressures that the industry is under.
One of the key areas of development has been within our Customer Service function; enhancing a standardised process to allow for a substantial increase in queries. Our customers now have access to a free ‘signed in’ Customer Portal which allows you and your team to:
- Create a query
- View carrier specific, network & commercial updates (incl monthly fuel surcharges)
- Access supporting documentation
- Track your shipments
- Additional supporting information such as Peak Planning
- Communicate directly with our Customer Service Team (upload supporting docs)
- View all queries (Open, awaiting your reply, solved)
- And much more to come in 2022
- https://support.itdglobal.com/hc/en-gb
Please note- in the coming weeks you will be required to ‘sign in’ to access the query form & full portal, without this you will not be able to raise a query. If you require access, please contact us on 0333 320 9993 (press option 1, then Option 2 for Customer Services).
We understand the recent shift in how we manage our queries is different to how we have worked with you historically and want to ensure you that we still intend to encourage that ‘personal touch’ through your supporting Sales & Account Managers. If you required further contact details on your ITD support- once signed in to the portal, you will be able to access all contacts under the ‘Contact Us’ section.
FREIGHT SERVICES
It has been widely reported that the freight industry has faced numerous challenges during the pandemic. As a result of capacity reductions from all the main shipping lines, companies have been forced to change their supply chain to address these challenges. Because of this, freight allocations, equipment availability and price has increased to never envisaged highs.
As a company, our philosophy has been and always will be to support our customers. Whether this is through standard shipping methods or focus led solutions on specific requirements.
Our existing customers experiencing such challenges reached out to ITD to provide Multi-Modal solutions during this pandemic. Modes include Seafreight, including China charters, cross docking, Airfreight, Railfreight & Worldwide warehousing (China, Netherlands, USA & UK). Operating and communicating with our customers have always been important aspects of our freight division. By offering these solutions we are able to provide our customers with additional support, building reliability on those modes in order to ensure their supply chain is not compromised.
The market is expected to remain high in 2022, which provides us with the opportunity to engage with our customers on these freight solutions
2022 GRI
As usual, carriers will be implementing a GRI (General Rate Increase) in January 2022 which typically sits in-line with the RPI (Retail Price Index) and is expected to fall around 6% this year. As always, ITD endeavour to ensure that the GRI’s we negotiate and implement are below the standard market rate. Official carrier GRI’s are yet to be released but with inflation and general increased costs we expect these to fall between 3-6% dependant on carrier, service and lane. and your Account Manager/ Sales person will be in contact with you in the New Year to send you updated commercials for 2022.
We would like to take this opportunity to thank you for your continued support in what has been a difficult few years. We hope you will continue into 2022 with ITD, into an exciting year for growth and enhanced services.
Wishing you all a happy, healthy and successful 2022.
Kind Regards
ITD Global
